Why It’s Not Safe to Tweet…or Run

You decide of the following story is true. A man said he ran head-first into a low-hanging branch while jogging to work because he was posting to his Twitter page while on the move. Oh, how the sadistic part of me wishes I was standing in that park so I could witness this! "I guess you could say I feel a right Twit," Coleman said. "One minute I was running along posting a tweet, the next I was lying on my back on the pavement in agony." So, how big of an idiot do you think he felt like? Haven’t we all tripped, slipped or otherwise jolted our bodies unnaturally and then looked around to see if anyone noticed? Can you imagine actually knocking yourself out?

"The branch came out of nowhere and hit my face hard," he said. (Of course it did-I hate it when that happens) "I could only see through one eye for a couple of days afterward, but the swelling has started to go down now.”

BTW, this story is true and happened in England. This should be a lesson for all of us embracing today’s internet technology: it’s not safe to tweet and run. Just to be safe, I won’t run either!
